Spa Masseur Charged With Sex Offenses

GAITHERSBURG, MD — Two sexual assault charges have been filed against a masseur at the Red Door Spa in Gaithersburg, and police want to talk to any other possible victims.

Montgomery County Police have charged Gavin Anthony Otto, 42, of the 7200 block of Blanchard Drive in Derwood, with sex offenses he allegedly committed while working as a masseur at the Red Door Spa in the Kentlands area. Detectives believe that Otto may have sexually assaulted additional victims at the spa in his role as a masseur.

On July 7, a 32-year-old woman reported to police that she received a massage by Otto and he sexually assaulted her during the massage at the spa.

Police say that a 37-year-old woman reported that Otto inappropriately touched her during a massage on Nov. 17.

On Nov. 25, detectives obtained a warrant for Otto’s arrest charging him with one count of second-degree sex offense and one count of fourth-degree sex offense. He was arrested Dec. 2 at his Derwood home. Otto was taken to the Central Processing Unit and was released after posting a $20,000 bond.
