Student Arrested At High School Faces Armed Robbery, Assault Charges
Rockville City Police arrested an 18-year-old student Monday in connection with an armed robbery at a Gaithersburg gas station.

ROCKVILLE, MD — Rockville City Police officers arrested an 18-year-old student at Richard Montgomery High School on Monday in connection with a recent armed robbery of a Gaithersburg gas station, according to a police release.
Montgomery County Police responded around 9:52 a.m., on Feb. 20, to the Summit Shell Station at 15 South Summit Ave. for the report of an armed robbery, according to a release.
Investigators determined that two men had entered the store and one of them pulled a knife from his waistband. He then demanded that the clerk open the cash register. Once the clerk complied, one of the suspects took an undisclosed amount of money and fled the scene with the other suspect, according to police.

Through their investigation, MCDP officers identified Jeffrey Gabriel Johnson of Rockville as the suspect who held the knife at the gas station clerk, according to police.
Johnson was taken to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, where he was charged with armed robbery, first-degree assault, and second-degree assault. The other suspect remains at large, according to the release.
