Suspect Arrested in Rockville Stabbings: Police

Three men argued, then fought at the Rockville Metrorail Station Monday; a man is now in custody.

A man faces two felony charges for allegedly stabbing two men following a fight outside the Rockville Metrorail Station, police say.

Late Monday, Metro Transit Police detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Reginald Cooper, 38, of Maryland.

Cooper was arrested without incident Tuesday afternoon by Rockville City Police Department’s street crimes unit. He will face charges of second-degree attempted murder, according to a release from Metro Transit Police.

Investigators say an argument between three men off Metro property about 6 a.m. Monday continued as they walked toward Rockville Metro. The disagreement escalated to a fight at the Ride ON bus stop. During the fight, two of the men were allegedly stabbed by Cooper, police say.

Both victims were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, authorities say.
