Suspects In Custody After Fatal Shooting At Rockville Motel: Police

ROCKVILLE, MD — Suspects in the fatal shooting of a man Wednesday night at a Red Roof Inn PLUS on Shady Grove Road in Rockville have been taken into custody, according to police.

Rockville City Police officers arrived on the scene of the shooting around 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday after reports of gunfire.

Due to the seriousness of the victim's injuries, the Montgomery County Police Department Major Crimes Unit will be taking over the investigation of this case, Rockville Police tweeted Wednesday night.

By Thursday morning, Rockville City Police said there was no threat to the community after the suspects had been taken into custody. The fatal shooting had been declared a homicide, police said.
