Taste of Rockville Kicks Off Memorial Day Weekend

Taste of Rockville on May 28 and 29 features fare from two dozen restaurants. It's part of Hometown Holidays this Memorial Day weekend.

ROCKVILLE, MD – Get a taste of diverse offerings from some of Rockville’s favorite restaurants during Taste of Rockville, on Saturday, May 28, and Sunday, May 29, as part of the city’s 28th annual Hometown Holidays Music Fest.

Taste of Rockville features 23 local restaurants showcasing samples from their menus ranging from pot stickers to paella, jallab juice to jambalaya and hot dogs to hummus.

Food tickets cost $1.25 each and most items cost one to four tickets each. The event is sponsored by the Rockville Chamber of Commerce and Community Ministries of Rockville. You can find Taste of Rockville menus and more information on Hometown Holidays online

Hometown Holidays hosts more than 30 regional and national acts on four stages across six city blocks in Rockville Town Center, kids amusements and the return of “the beach” sand pile. The festival runs from 2-10 p.m., with the Taste of Rockville opening at noon on both days.

The city’s 72nd annual Memorial Day ceremony and parade, beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday, May 30, caps off the holiday weekend in Town Center.

Restaurants participating in Taste of Rockville are: American Tap Room, Apollo, Armand’s Pizzeria and Grill, Bonchon Chicken, Buffalo Wild Wings, Carmen’s Italian Ice, Dawson’s Market, Ev & Maddy’s, La Tasca, Matt’s House of Kabob, Mellow Mushroom, Miller’s Ale House, Paladar, Potomac Pizza, Quench, Rocklands Barbeque and Grilling Company, Saffron Indian Cuisine, Savvy Treats, Seasons 52, Spice Xing, Stanford Grill, The Bean Bag Deli and Trapezaria.

Tickets can be purchased during Hometown Holidays at one of three Taste of Rockville ticket booths. Credit cards are accepted.
