Teen Charged as Adult in Germantown Shooting

Montgomery County Police have charged Marvin Frazier, 15, with attempted murder for shooting at a 16-year-old.

A 15-year-old Germantown boy has been charged as an adult with attempted murder for allegedly shooting at an acquaintance.

Montgomery County Police say a witness called 911 Monday morning to report shots fired in the 19600 block of Crystal Rock Drive in Germantown. At the time, police could not find a victim in the shooting or evidence of gunfire, but interviewed witnesses who said they heard two or three gunshots.

The following day, a middle school student was arrested for possessing a knife on school property. That arrest led detectives to a 16-year-old boy who had been shot at during the earlier incident on Crystal Rock Drive.

Detectives say the shooting suspect -- Marvin Frazier, 15, of Whitechurch Circle in Germantown --and the victim knew each other.

Frazier is being charged as an adult in the shooting with one count of attempted first-degree murder and one count of first-degree assault. Bond review has been scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday, March 16, in Rockville District Court.
