Teen Dies on Way to Hospital After Ex Raped Her on Street: Report

A teenager died last week on the way to the hospital after her 16-year-old former boyfriend allegedly raped her on a Rockville street, authorities say.

The Associated Press reports Montgomery County authorities have charged the boy with rape of the 19-year-old woman after they met up to watch a movie.

Court documents say the boy told police he believed his ex-girlfriend agreed to have sex during the movie and was upset when she would not. The teenager reportedly acknowledged raping the woman on the street near the courthouse, where sheriff’s deputies saw the pair struggling and acted.

The woman was on her way to be examined at a hospital when she died, according to AP. The news service didn’t report if the victim was in an emergency vehicle or in a private vehicle when she died.
