The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington Hosts Israel @ 70: A Musical Celebration

This past Sunday, June 3rd, thousands gathered at the Hyatt Regency of Tysons Corner in Tysons, VA to celebrate Israel's 70th birthday. The event, Israel @ 70: A Musical Celebration, was organized by The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington as part of their effort to foster a love and appreciation for Israel's culture, history and people, right here in Greater Washington. Over 2000 attendees from the region enjoyed free live music, giveaways, arts and crafts and family-friendly activities.

Federation brought in some of Israel's leading musical performers including headliner Nadav Guedj (pictured above), Israel's 2015 Eurovision representative. He performed his international hit “Golden Boy” and others to a full house.

Also on stage was Tzofim Friendship Caravan (pictured above) - a group of energetic Israeli scouts who sang, danced and shared stories of friendship and their love for Israel. As well as Kippalive (pictured below with young audience member) - Israel's leading acapella group who sang and breakdanced.
