Three Students Injured in School Bus Collision

The first day of school in Montgomery County began with one school bus rear-ending another in Potomac.

The first day of school in Montgomery County started with two school buses colliding, injuring three students, authorities say.

The rear-end collision happened at Glen Road and Falls Road in Potomac.

Pete Piringer, spokesman for Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services, said emergency responders checked out 17 students. Three students suffered minor injuries; no students were taken to a hospital.

All students from Churchill High School have been released to their parents or placed on another bus to continue to school, he said.
