ROCKVILLE, MD — The scene of an earlier hazardous materials incident in Rockville has been cleared and all roads have reopened to traffic, according to a 7:43 p.m. update on the Rockville Police Department's official Twitter account. There is no threat to the public.

A traffic advisory was issued at 6:34 p.m. on Wednesday due to a hazardous materials incident in the 900 block of King Farm Boulevard, according to a Rockville Police post on Twitter.

A heavy police and fire presence was reported in the area and traffic was impacted for about an hour from Piccard Drive to King Farm Boulevard, according to the Twitter post.
