VA Man Dies Following 2-Vehicle Crash On I-270 In MoCo: Police

ROCKVILLE, MD — A 36-year-old Virginia man died from injuries he received early Monday morning in a pedestrian-related crash in Montgomery County, Maryland.

Caesar Adigwe Jr. of Spotsylvania, Virginia was struck around 5 a.m. by a Nissan traveling northbound on I-270 before Old Georgetown Road, according to Maryland State Police. Adigwe was attempting to put gas into his vehicle, which was on the shoulder of the highway, when he was hit.

Adigwe was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for his injuries, but he later died.

MSP identified 22-year-old Aaliyah Brown of Clarksburg, Maryland as the driver of the Nissan. She remained on the scene following the collision.

Once their investigation is completed, MSP's Crash Team will submit a report to the Montgomery County State's Attorney's Office, who will determine if charges will be filed.
