The Best of Serenade! Choral Festival featured renowned international groups.
The Best of Serenade! Choral Festival came to the Music Center at Strathmore on Sunday, presenting a free concert that featured vocal talent from around the world.
The international flavor included the Indonesian choir Cordana, which is recognized as the archipelago nation’s foremost youth choir; the authentic Russian folk and sacred songs of Konevets Quartet; the Grammy-winning Pacific Boychoir from Oakland, CA; the Pan-African sounds of the South Africa’s Wits Choir; the Los Angeles Children’s Chorus; and the jazz-blues of Canada’s Cadence Quartet.
The United Congregational Church of South Africa Broadhurst Choir, from Botswana, and the Boston Eastern Heritage Chorus joined the six other groups for the evening's encore.
