VIDEO: Rockville Town Square Becomes New Orleans for a Day

held its first Mardi Gras celebration on Saturday, attracting hundreds to the family-friendly celebration that included a parade around Town Square Park.

The parade featured Miss Maryland and Miss District of Columbia, Zumba dancing by and marching band and dance performances by Baltimore Entertainers Marching Band Inc. Booths were set up around the square for bead- and mask-making. Swing Dixie played traditional New Orleans Dixieland jazz music, giving the festivities a true feeling of Mardi Gras.
