ROCKVILLE, MD — In an effort to address pedestrian and bicyclist safety in Montgomery County, council member Evan Glass will host a "Vision Zero" town hall Saturday at 10 a.m. in Rockville.

The town hall will take place at the Executive Office Building (100 Maryland Ave.) and feature representatives from the Department of Transportation, the State Highway Administration, and other relevant agencies and local decision makers.

At the town hall, residents can voice their opinions and learn more about the county's Vision Zero plan — which aims to reduce severe and fatal collisions for drivers and their passengers, pedestrians, and bicyclists by 2030.

In 2019, there have been 11 deaths and more than 570 incidents involving pedestrians and bicyclists on Montgomery County roads, according to government officials.
