What School has the Largest Campus in the Area?

Christ Episcopal School (CES) in Rockville has one of largest campuses around, but you’d never know it.  Located on the corner of West Jefferson and South Washington Streets, CES has three main buildings:  The Jefferson Building, the historic red brick building across from the Garza Building, The Church Building, aptly named because it’s attached to Christ Church, and the Thompson House, a neighborhood home which serves preschool children ages 2 to 4.

On an almost daily basis, you may see CES students happily traveling around Rockville to enrich their educational experience.  “Our middle school students travel to Gold’s Gym in the Town Square for a professionally-led workout.  Also, our Kindergarten students are regulars at Sunrise of Rockville Senior Living Community during the holidays,” said Dr. Caroline Chapin, Head of School.  The philosophy is that students learn best by going into and experiencing the world.  Whether they are at the Rockville Memorial Library researching a project, learning about the ecosystem of Rock Creek Park, or working with Clean Currents, Rockville’s Clean Energy Solution, CES prides itself on providing “real world/real life” opportunities for their students.  All of Rockville serves as the CES campus.
