What's Open, Closed in Rockville on Christmas 2014?

City offices are closed and some services delayed for the Christmas and New Year’s holidays.s
City Hall and all City facilities will be closed on Thursday, Dec. 25, in observance of Christmas Day and Thursday, Jan. 1, in observance of New Year’s Day. Many facilities and programs will operate on a limited schedule on Wednesdays, Dec. 24 and 31.
Parking fees at City of Rockville meters will be suspended on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

Recycling and refuse will not be collected on Dec. 25 or Jan. 1. Recycling and refuse normally collected on Thursdays will be collected on Friday, Dec. 26 and Friday, Jan. 2.
City facilities will operate on the following schedule:

• Croydon Creek Nature Center will be open on Wednesday, Dec. 24; Friday, Dec. 26; and Wednesday, Dec 31, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
• The F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre box office will be closed from Wednesday, Dec. 24 at 5 p.m. until Tuesday, Jan. 6 at 2 p.m.
• Lincoln Park Community Center, Thomas Farm Community Center and Twinbrook Community Recreation Center will be open Wednesdays, Dec. 24 and 31 and Fridays, Dec. 26 and Jan. 2, from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
• The Rockville Senior Center will close at 5 p.m. Wednesdays, Dec. 24 and 31.
• The Rockville Swim and Fitness Center will be open Wednesdays, Dec. 24 and 31, from 6 a.m.-4 p.m.
