What's Open, Closed in Rockville on March 6?

City crews are making progress on streets, and a snow emergency has been cancelled.

City of Rockville has lifted its snow emergency, allowing vehicles to be parked on city streets once again, including in Town Center, according to a news release.

City offices will open at 10 a.m. Friday, March 6.

Recycling and refuse collections normally scheduled for Thursday will be collected on Friday.

Senior programs: Rockville Senior Center will open at 10 a.m. for drop in use only, including drop in fitness room use. All classes are canceled. Daily transportation is canceled. Lunch program is also canceled.

Recreation programs: All morning Recreation Programs have been canceled. Call the Recreation Programs phone line for an update on afternoon and evening classes.

All youth basketball practices are canceled.

Teen programs are canceled, including Friday night Ski Club.

Snow Removal on Sidewalks: Sidewalks, driveways and entrances must be cleared by the adjacent property owner, occupant, community association or business. Snow and ice must be cleared from all paved sidewalks abutting your property within 24-72 hours of the end of the snowfall, depending on the snowfall totals (up to three inches = 24 hours; three to nine inches = 48 hours; 10 inches or more = 72 hours).
