Woman Raped at Knifepoint; Suspect Held Without Bail

A man is accused of breaking into a Rockville home through a window while the 63-year-old victim slept.

A Rockville man is being held without bond for allegedly breaking into a home while a woman slept and raping her at knifepoint.

Montgomery County Police on Wednesday arrested Myles Joshua Bowersox, 24, of the 13100 block of Midway Avenue in Rockville on charges of home invasion, rape and sex offenses.

Investigators say that about 4 a.m. on Nov. 16, Bowersox broken into a house in the 5600 block of Dowgate Court in Rockville. The 63-year-old victim was asleep in her bedroom when the suspect entered the bedroom through an unlocked window.

Police say Bowersox pulled the victim’s shirt over her head so she could not see him and sexually assaulted her. After the assault, he held a knife to the victim’s stomach and told her he would come back and kill her if she reported the assault.

Fingerprints taken from the scene and entered into a national database for analysis were found to match Bowersox, police said.
