The review would assess infrastructure needs, new cargo opportunities, and dredging requirements, helping decide how much local tax money to invest and how the port can keep supporting jobs, businesses, and river navigation for decades.
3. Salisbury Pride postponed to 2027, organizers cite federal delays (wboc.com) — Salisbury's annual Pride parade and festival will not be held this year, with organizers pushing the next full-scale event to October 2027 due to federal delays in processing their name change and related sponsorship issues. Police chief killed in head-on collision with delivery driver (cleveland.com) — A Salisbury man driving a delivery truck was involved in a head-on collision that killed Denton Police Chief George Bacorn Jr. in Talbot County, prompting a statewide outpouring of grief. Maryland State Police are still investigating why the truck crossed the center line, while state leaders, including the governor, have ordered flags lowered and praised Bacorn's long public service.
