Children’s Business Fair Draws Young Entrepreneurs
The fair was held Saturday at the Severna Park Community Center.
Young entrepreneurs gathered at the Severna Park Community Center on Saturday to showcase businesses from lemonade stands, to duct tape art, to lip gloss methods.
The young capitalists were there for Financial Futures Now Children’s Business Fair, which drew kids from Maryland, DC and Virginia.
“The kids worked really hard and it showed,” said Financial Futures founder and fair organizer Vanessa Bright. “They had great products and services and presented their businesses very well.”

Kids ages 7-14 participated in the fair. Along with business endeavors the event also featured moon bounces, a performance from Baltimore Children’s Mandolin Orchestra and a poster contest with the theme Dream Big, sponsored by Wells Fargo.
The Children’s Business Fair raised $500 for CASA of Anne Arundel County, which advocates for abused children.
