Benfield Gallery is pleased to present Watercolors in Miniature September 19 through October 20, 2012. This is a special invitational-juried exhibit by the Annapolis Watercolor Club. A meet-the-artists reception will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2 – 4 pm.
The paintings in this exhibit are in the traditional miniature style. The paintings are extremely small in size and detail.
The Annapolis Watercolor Club was founded in 1975 as a small non-profit educational organization. Today the organization is exclusively devoted to practice, education and promoting watercolor as a medium.

The juror for this special exhibit is Kelly Richard. Ms. Richard has over 38 years of experience in the fine art, fine crafts and graphic arts. Classically trained as a fine artist, she has had numerous solo shows and participated in a wide range of invitational exhibits. For the sixteen years, she owned and operated the League of Maryland Craftsmen in Annapolis and Savage Mill, Maryland, and the American Craftworks Collection in Annapolis, Maryland. Over the years she has served on the board of several fine arts organizations. Recognized as a fine artist as well as an expert in fine crafts, she has juried numerous exhibitions, most recently she served as a juror for the prestigious Niche Awards.
The public is invited to meet the artists on Saturday, September 29, 2012, 2 - 4 pm. Light refreshments will be served. This event is free to the public. Benfield Gallery is open from 10:00 - 5:00 Monday through Saturday and is located on at 485 Jumpers Hill Road in Severna Park next to the Benfield Shopping Center (Safeway).
