Girls Lacrosse: Falcons Top Chesapeake, Advance in Postseason Play

The Severna Park girls lacrosse team defeated Chesapeake High on Wednesday night in the first round of the class 4A girls lacrosse playoffs.

With the 17-5 victory, the Falcons will move onto the second round where they will face rival Broadneck on Friday night at the Bruins' home field in Annapolis.

During the regular season, Severna Park (No. 5) fell to Broadneck (No. 4) in a close game of 9-8. Friday night’s contest should be a heated rematch between the rival schools.

While the girls were successful in postseason play, the Severna Park boys lacrosse team’s season came to an end Wednesday night falling to Broadneck 10-5.
