Q&A: Rock 'n' Roll Revival's Kelsey Langello

Junior Kelsey Langello appears in seven songs during Rock 'n' Roll Revival.

Rock 'n' Roll Revival XXIV at Severna Park High School kicked off March 1 to rave reviews and created all sorts musical excitement around the school. 

Patch stopped by a dress rehearsal to talk with a few members of the cast about the show, what made them want to join, and why Rock 'n' Roll is so popular at SPHS.

Severna Park Patch: What is your favorite song in the production?
Kelsey Langello:
I have to go with my song, which is "So Far Away."

Severna Park Patch: Why should people come see the show?
Langello
: There’s just so much energy and you don’t get to see that a lot.

Severna Park Patch: What else do you do at school besides Rock ‘n’ Roll?
Langello
: Mostly just theater. I was in Les Mis; I played the officer.

Severna Park Patch: Why did you want to be in Rock ‘n’ Roll Revival?
Langello
: I saw it for the first time when I was in eighth-grade and wanted to be like those people.

Severna Park Patch: What is the biggest difference in preparing for Les Mis vs. Rock ‘n’ Roll Revival?
Langello
: It’s a really big switch. I feel like all my technique is kind of out the window and I am just trying to copy other artists.

Rock 'n' Roll Revival will continue to run March 8-10 and March 15-16; however, all performances are sold out.
