Softball: Top Ranked Falcons Upset in Second Round

The No. 1-seeded Falcons fell to Leonardtown 7-6 Monday night in Severna Park.

The top ranked Severna Park softball team ended its postseason play Monday night in the second round of the state tournament.  

The No. 1-seeded Falcons fell to Leonardtown 7-6 Monday night in Severna Park.

After earning a first-round bye, Severna Park entered its first game of the postseason on Monday looking to make a run to the state final, but were upset by No. 8 Leonardtown.

Despite a successful season, the Severna Park softball team’s year ended with two losses. In addition to the loss to Leonardtown, the Falcons fell to Northeast High 5-6 in the county championship on May 8.
