SPMS Student Interviews Meteorologist Justin Berk

A Severna Park Middle student got to interview meteorologist Justin Berk and get a taste of the reporting world thanks to an online magazine called My-Say.

My-Say is an online publication written by, and for, middle school students across the state. It offers tweens and teens the opportunity to explore, learn and write about issues that interest them.

Jake Eberhardt, a sixth-grader at Severna Park Middle interviewed Berk and his son for the latest My-Say publication. In the interview Eberhardt asked the pair about a weather app they created that helps kids decide what to wear.

In January, that the students come up with their own story ideas for My-Say articles and often pick topics that interest them and other middle school students.
