1 Injured In Shooting In Silver Spring, Search For Suspects Ongoing

A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of the suspects, police said.

SILVER SPRING, MD — One person was injured in an early-morning shooting in Silver Spring on Friday.

Montgomery County police said the shooting occurred just after 2 a.m. in the area of Georgia and Thayer avenues.

According to police, an unspecified number of unknown suspects were involved in an argument with a 25-year-old man. During the altercation, the suspects shot the man for reasons that remain under investigation.

The victim was later taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

No arrests have been made, and police have not provided any information about potential suspects.
