$10K Scratch-Off Win Measures Up For Silver Spring Carpenter
Silver Spring family man to use lottery winnings to buy truck for his job.

SILVER SPRING, MD — A Silver Spring carpenter who plays a random Maryland Lottery scratch-off nearly every day found a game that measured up to his hopes for a hefty prize. He won $10,000.
The husband and father of three was shocked when he scratched off his 50x The Cash instant ticket. Standing there in the Langley Shop at 8001 New Hampshire Avenue in Hyattsville, he found his mind going 100 miles per hour, according to a news release.
“Just a day or two ago, my wife and I talked about needing a new truck for work and for the family, and that we were going to have to wait until next year to afford it,” he told Maryland Lottery officials. “That’s the very first thing I thought of when I won.”
