2 Capitol Heights Men Arrested In Silver Spring Fatal Shooting: Police

Montgomery County Police took two Capitol Heights men into custody Tuesday in connection with the March 5 fatal shooting in Silver Spring.

SILVER SPRING, MD — Montgomery County Police arrested two Capitol Heights, Maryland men Tuesday in connection to the March 5 fatal shooting of Deandre Keith Ellis in Silver Spring, according to a release.

Police responded around 10:17 p.m. for a welfare check call in 900 block of Bonifant St. Once there, officers found Ellis deceased in a car, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound, according to police.

MCDP investigators identified Kajohn McCombs and Ahmahd McCombs, who are both 22-years-old, as suspects in the case. After applying for arrest warrants, detectives arrested the two Capitol Heights men on Tuesday.

No bail information was available, but both Kajohn McCombs and Ahmahd McCombs were taken Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, according to the release.
