2 Shot Overnight in Aspen Hill: Police
A $10,000 reward is being offered for tips that lead to the arrest of a man who shot a couple in a car Wednesday in Silver Spring.

SILVER SPRING, MD — A reward has been offered for tips leading to the arrest of a man who shot two people Wednesday night in the Aspen Hill area, authorities say.
Just after midnight, emergency dispatchers received a call from a man who said he and a female companion had been shot while they were parked in a vehicle in the 3800 block of Palmira Lane in the Aspen Hill area. First responders found a 22-year old man and a 36-year-old woman at the location; both victims were suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Their injuries are described as non-life threatening, according to Montgomery County Police.

The victims were taken by Montgomery County Fire and Rescue personnel to a local hospital. The victims were conscious and able to provide details to investigators.
Authorities say the two victims were seated inside a arc when a man approached the vehicle, talked to the victims, and then shot them. The suspect — described as being in his late teens or early 20s and wearing dark clothing — fled on foot.
