3 Teens Face Multiple Charges In June 21 Armed Robbery, Carjacking In Silver Spring
Three teens were arrested in connection with the June 21 armed carjacking and armed robbery in Silver Spring, according to police.

SILVER SPRING, MD — Three teens, ages 13, 16, and 17, have been arrested in connection with an armed carjacking and armed robbery that occurred June 21 in Silver Spring, according to police.
Investigators with the Montgomery County Department of Police determined that a man driving on Wayne Avenue in Silver Spring noticed a black Jeep Grand Cherokee following. Once the man arrived at his home, the Jeep drove off, but later returned and blocked the man's car.
As the man was exiting his car, five male suspects wearing dark clothing and masks got out of the Jeep and pointed a gun at the victim, according to police. They then demand the victim's property and cellphone password. Once the victim complied, one of the suspects punched him in the face. The five fled the scene in the Jeep.

The 16-year-old, who is being held by police in Washington, D.C., on unrelated charges, was charged as an adult with armed carjacking and armed robbery.
The 17-year-old was also charged as an adult with armed carjacking and armed robbery. He is being held without bond at the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit.
