MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD — Four armed men were arrested in Montgomery County recently following a high-speed chase in a stolen Porsche, according to police.

Earlier this month, Montgomery County police said officers attempted to pull over a 2021 Porsche SUV with an unknown Virginia license plate after determining the plate was registered to an Acura. Police said officers tried to pull over the Porsche, but the driver refused to stop and sped off.

Police said officers located the Porsche again Monday near Sheffield Manor Drive and Guilford Run Lane. Once officers pulled over the car, police said the driver tried to escape and struck four patrol cars in the process.

A fourth person — 23-year-old Melvin Johnson of Silver Spring — arrived moments after the arrests, police said. The officer spoke with him and determined Johnson was also involved in the theft, and police took him into custody, authorities said.

According to police, officers also recovered three handguns while searching the Porsche.

All four men were taken to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, where Xavier, Sanusi and Hilliard were charged with illegal possession of a handgun, auto theft and other theft-related charges, police said. Johnson was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, according to authorities.

Xavier, Sausi and Hilliard were held without bond, while Johnson was released on a $400 bond, police said.
