500 Residents and Staff Attend 2nd Annual Riderwood’s Got Talent
18 acts including three Riderwood employees and 25 residents performed
Silver Spring, MD -- More than 500 residents and staff attended the 2nd Annual Riderwood’s Got Talent. The event, organized by the Riderwood resident-run group Entertainment Presenters, had 18 acts including three Riderwood employees and 25 residents.
"Our first Riderwood’s Got Talent was a huge success so it was great to see such a great turnout once again,” said Amanda Hixenbaugh, community resources coordinator, Riderwood. “We have so many talented people both living and working here so what better way to showcase their talents than at an event like Riderwood’s Got Talent. This event really highlights why Riderwood is such a wonderful place to live and work.”
“There are a great many talented musical artists living and working here at Riderwood,” said resident Paul Forbes, whose energetic rendering of If I Were a Rich Man wowed the audience. “No matter what their talents or interests, Riderwood’s residents find almost limited opportunities to express themselves.”
