$50K Powerball Win For Silver Spring Man From Maryland Lottery
A Silver Spring man won a third-tier prize worth $50,000 from the Maryland Lottery in the March 29 Powerball drawing.

SILVER SPRING, MD — A Silver Spring man won a third-tier prize of $50,000 from the Maryland Lottery in the March 29 Powerball drawing, according to a release.
“A thousand, $1,500 before,” the Silver Spring man told lottery officials. “This one is the first big one.”
The Montgomery County man has no immediate plans for his winnings, outside of paying a few bills and socking the rest away as a hedge against inflation. He did tell lottery officials he will probably plan small celebration later in the month.
