A Silver Spring‑based DARCARS dealership family has already donated $250,000 to help erase that debt, highlighting both local generosity and the scale of food insecurity affecting MCPS students.    

• OneVoice27 Expands as Church Leaders Call for Bold, United Mission - Seventh-day Adventist Church (interamerica.org) — Silver Spring served as the hub this week as global Seventh-day Adventist leaders met here to expand OneVoice27, a worldwide evangelism and media initiative launching in 2027. The Spring Meeting in town outlined prayer campaigns, new study materials, digital outreach tools, and a 2026 creators summit aimed at mobilizing local churches and young people worldwide.
