MONTGOMERY CO., MD — Ramon Rosario, a 37-year-old Silver Spring man, is facing multiple charges after being arrested in relation to an arson case.
Court records show Rosario is charged with first- and second-degree arson, as well as four counts of reckless endangerment.
Maryland law dictates that anyone convicted of first-degree arson could be sentenced to a max sentence of 30 years in prison.
The incident tying Rosario to the charges took place Wednesday at the 8400 block of Piney Branch Road, near Flower Avenue.
At the scene, first responders found a car that had been set on fire and caused damage to a nearby house.
Investigators have not detailed a motive in the case.
Rosario is scheduled for a Friday bail hearing at 1 p.m. in Rockville.
The latest comes as another Silver Spring man, 57-year-old Aubrey Michelle Ellis, was charged for the late April fire that caused $225,000 in damages to the Jiffy Lube shop on the 3200 block of Automobile Boulevard.
Ellis is being held without bond on charges including second-degree arson, second-degree burglary and malicious destruction.
