MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD — Adrean Walls, a 20-year-old man from Bowie, is facing several charges in Montgomery County after stalking a woman he encountered at a Silver Spring shopping center.
The Montgomery County Police Department said Wednesday that Walls began stalking the woman Friday, when she was shopping inside the Kohl's on the 12000 block of Cherry Hill Road.
The in-store stalking, according to police, occurred while Walls was "engaged in an act of indecent exposure."
Authorities said Walls nearly hit two cars in the parking lot as he proceeded to follow the woman through the Orchard Center shopping center and later to her home.
Walls tried to enter the residence through a window but eventually ran from the scene after being confronted by one of the woman's relatives.
It wasn't until six days later that police obtained an arrest warrant in the case for Walls.
Court records show the Bowie man is facing misdemeanor charges that range from stalking to indecent exposure and fourth-degree attempted burglary.
Investigators believe Walls may have stalked more individuals at the shopping center and are urging residents to contact police.
