The story explores how her creations share African culinary traditions with local customers, alongside similar culturally rooted scoop shops from DC to Hawaii and New Mexico.
3. Silver Spring Carjacking Suspect Nabbed Years After Woman Dragged From Her Own Vehicle: Police (dailyvoice.com) — Police say a suspect has finally been arrested in connection with a July 2022 carjacking on Georgia Avenue in Silver Spring, where a woman was dragged and seriously injured. Daymonte Antonyio Jones is now being held without bond at the Montgomery County Detention Center, offering some closure in a long-running local case.

Niis Pens Love Letter To Heartbreak In 'Earthquakes' (idobi.com) — Silver Spring music fans can catch newly signed Los Angeles punk band Niis at The Fillmore Silver Spring on October 28 as part of their fall tour.
