Gunfire Reported In Silver Spring, Suspected Shooter At Large: Police

SILVER SPRING, MD — Montgomery County police are searching for a suspected shooter after responding to a report of gunfire in Silver Spring on Tuesday.

Officers were called to the 8500 block of 16th Street, where no injuries were reported, police said in a statement released shortly before 3:50 p.m.

The suspected shooter fled the scene in a vehicle and has not been taken into custody. Police did not immediately release a description of the person or vehicle.

Officers were searching the surrounding area as the investigation continued.
