• Silver Spring mother and daughter-in-law win $50,000 in lottery for a second time (mymcmedia.org) — Two Silver Spring relatives just hit a $50,000 Mega Millions prize for the second time in two years, again using the same set of numbers. They bought the latest winning ticket at the Exxon on Colesville Road, and say the money has helped them pay off debts and support family while they quietly keep playing Maryland and multi-state games.
• T.J. Maxx is closing stores. Are Delaware location impacted (delawareonline.com) — Residents who shop at Ellsworth Place should know the T.J. Maxx there is among several locations TJX Companies plans to close in 2026. While the article reassures Delaware shoppers their stores are safe, it confirms Silver Spring's store and others in Maryland and Boston are on the chopping block even as the chain continues expanding overall.
