Purple Line Work To Close Silver Spring Road, Intersection In November

SILVER SPRING, MD — Additional closures along Wayne Avenue, including its intersection with Fenton Street, are scheduled through Dec. 1 as Purple Line construction continues.

Drivers should expect the following closures:

• Wayne Avenue between Fenton Street and Dale Drive: Closures are scheduled Nov. 8-20, beginning between Fenton and Cedar streets, followed by Cedar Street to Dale Drive.
• Fenton Street and Wayne Avenue intersection: A closure is scheduled Nov. 22-Dec. 1.

Meanwhile, Wayne Avenue between Dale Drive and Manchester Road is scheduled to reopen after its final nightly closure Nov. 6. Those closures began Oct. 25.
