Retirees at Riderwood in Silver Spring, MD, are now Operating Their Own Web Site: www.RiderwoodLife.org

Riderwood retirement community residents in Silver Spring, MD,  are now operating their own web site,  www.RiderwoodLife.org  ,that is a tool for residents and their families to obtain information on resident-run activities in Independent Living and specific activities and services at Renaissance Gardens, which is the community’s extended care neighborhood.

www.RiderwoodLife.org provides all of the information on services and activities provided by the staff and management of Riderwood.  It includes such items as the monthly activity schedule, transportation’s list of special trips, dining menus, etc. Links to the Riderwood Facebook page and online copies of the Riderwood Reporter monthly newspaper are included.  In addition, this web site has a detailed  map of the Riderwood campus.

The Riderwood Computer Club, which has nearly 400 members, is providing the technical know-how to post information about the clubs and activities at Riderwood. This site is a joint venture between Renaissance Gardens and Riderwood Computer Club.

Riderwood has nearly 3,000 residents. It is the nation’s largest continuing care retirement community. Riderwood’s 120-acre campus stretches across Montgomery and Prince George’s Counties, Maryland. It offers extensive wellness and prevention programs, balance assessment and fall prevention programs, and Fitness and Aquatics Centers.
