Assault, Rape Charges Filed Against Silver Spring Man Arrested At BWI
A Silver Spring man wanted on multiple charges, including rape and second-degree assault, was arrested during a traffic stop at BWI Airport.
BALTIMORE, MD — Maryland Transportation Authority police officers arrested 27-year-old Wilfredo Pineda of Silver Spring early Tuesday morning. Pineda was wanted on multiple charges in Baltimore, including assault and rape.
Around 2 a.m. on Tuesday, an MDTA police officer at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport, conducted a traffic stop of a silver Dodge Ram on the airport's inner roadway, which is limited to authorized vehicles only.
During the traffic stop, the officer determined that Pineda, who was driving the Dodge Ram, was wanted by the Baltimore County Police Department on a number of charges, including second-degree rape and assault.

The officer arrested Pineda and took him to the Jennifer Road Detention Center in Baltimore.
