Montgomery Parks has released its list of the best sledding hills for kids and adults to check out.

SILVER SPRING, MD — With classes canceled on Monday for Montgomery County schools, there's only one thing to do: Hit the snow.
Montgomery Parks has released its list of the best sledding hills for kids and adults to check out.
These locations have been chosen "because they are generally free of latent hazards," according to Casey Anderson, chair of the Montgomery County Planning Board, the governing body for the county's parks.

Anderson also said residents should be careful because the snow could hide potentially hazardous obstacles, such as rocks and fence posts.

Now, on to the fun part. Approved locations for sledding in Montgomery Parks include:

- Damascus Recreational Park (hillside near tennis court parking lot on Kings Valley Road)

- Long Branch-Wayne Local Park (off of University Blvd.)
- 509 E. University Blvd., Silver Spring
- Norwood Local Park
- 4700 Norwood Dr., Bethesda
- Pilgrim Hills Local Park
- 1615 E. Randolph Rd., Colesville
- Sligo Creek Golf Course
- 9701 Sligo Creek Pkwy, Silver Spring
- South Germantown Recreational Park (hill behind Field F and hillside between Mooseum and TennisPlex)
