Compass Inc. Run Raises $8,000 for People with Disabilities

Compass, Inc.’s successful first annual Run Your Art Out 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run took place on Saturday October 18th Maryland. Nearly 60 participants plus volunteers attended this inaugural event. All proceeds from the event will go to benefit artists with intellectual & developmental disabilities supported by Compass Inc. and Compass, Inc.’s Art Programs.

In addition to the two runs, Compass offered light snacks and beverages including samples from drinks sponsor Body Armor to all attendees. Race awards were presented to the first male finisher Tommy Kolp and the first female finisher Marcia Abrams.

Other sponsors include Kaiser Permanente, Gordon Feinblatt LLC, Perfect Staffing, ASG Security, Badger Contracting, and Novex Pest Management.

Compass, Inc. is a 501 (C) 3 organization located in Beltsville, MD that provides a myriad of services to Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. For almost 20 years, Compass has been providing services in Montgomery, Prince Georges and Charles counties. Compass believes that everyone regardless of his or her presentation of abilities can and should be supported to live and thrive in the community.
