Crews Rescue Celebrity Horse Trapped In Cistern: VIDEO
Maryland rescuers freed a 2,000-pound horse on Sunday after it fell in an old cistern in Burtonsville.

SILVER SPRING, MD โ Montgomery County and Frederick County rescue crews freed a horse named Bravo on Sunday after it fell in an old cistern in Burtonsville.
At about 7:30 a.m., officials were called to 4700 Sandy Spring Rd., where they found a 2,000-pound horse trapped up to its neck in a hole. Montgomery County Fire and Rescue spokesman Pete Piringer said rescuers dug a trench and extricated Bravo around 10:30 a.m.
Piringer published pictures and videos of the rescue on Twitter. In one of his tweets on Monday, Piringer said Bravo had a few cuts, but seemed to be okay.

This isn't the first time the horse has been in front of a camera. According to Piringer, Bravo played Harriet Tubman's horse in a movie.
