Dave & Buster's Hiring in October for New Silver Spring Venue

The sports bar Dave & Buster's just off the Red Line in Silver Spring is gearing up to hire nearly 300 workers in October.

SILVER SPRING, MD — Dining and entertainment venue Dave & Buster’s, which will open a 40,980-square-foot location at Ellsworth Place in downtown Silver Spring in November, is looking to hire roughly 260 employees to work at the location right off the Red Line. Positions are available in both front and back-of-house capacities, including servers, bartenders, hosts, line cooks, game techs and more.

Interested candidates should complete an online application at www.daveandbusters/careers or visit the Dave & Buster’s hiring site located at the Hampton Inn, 8728 Colesville Road in Silver Spring, when it opens on Wednesday, Oct. 19. Open interview hours are Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The new location marks the expansion of the Ellsworth Place entertainment destination, and the third Dave & Buster’s in Maryland. Dave & Buster’s close proximity to the respective homes of the Washington Redskins, Washington Nationals and DC United make the D&B Sports bar the ideal sports viewing destination for local residents to cheer on their home teams with massive HD TVs and “better than the stadium” seating.

The restaurant’s menu includes the Pepperoni Pretzel Pull-Apart, Three Cheese Grilled Cheese Sticks and Buffalo Wing Burger. Guests will also experience new dishes like Angry Orchard BBQ Chicken and Bacon Wrapped Shrimp with Lobster Sauce & Fire-Grilled Sirloin. Options on the cocktail menu include Tiki Drinks, the Original CoronaRita, Adult Snow Cones, the Strawberry Watermelon Margarita poured over strawberry ice cubes, Glow Kones featuring a multicolored, flashing cube, and the all-new Luxe L.I.T.’s.

Guests can also play over 165 of the newest games in the Million Dollar Midway including Ghostbusters, Star Trek and Star Wars Battle Pod. Redeem those tickets with a trip to the Winner’s Circle to shop for a variety of prizes, including Apple products, Xbox games, sports memorabilia and more.

Current anchor tenants at Ellsworth Place include Burlington Coat Factory, Marshalls, Michaels, Ross and T.J.Maxx. Over the next 20 years, Ellsworth Place is projected to generate about $38.4 million in tax revenues for Montgomery County and to support 807 permanent full-time jobs in the county. During the construction phase, the renovation is projected to generate 253 temporary jobs. On a statewide level, Ellsworth Place is projected to generate $175 million in state tax revenues and support 881 permanent jobs, inclusive of those in Montgomery County.
