Dog That Attacked Woman In Silver Spring Still On The Loose: MCPD
Montgomery County police and animal control officers are looking for a dog they say attacked a woman in Silver Spring Monday evening.
SILVER SPRING, MD — Authorities say a dog, who is still on the loose, attacked a woman in Silver Spring Monday evening.
Shortly after 7 p.m., Montgomery County police and animal control officers responded to the 3400 block of Gateshead Manor Way for the report of a dog attack. The female victim told officials that she was walking in an apartment complex parking lot when she was attacked by a "large and brown" dog.
According to authorities, the woman was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, which included puncture wounds to her legs and arms. Officers said they patrolled the area but could not find the canine.

Less than half a mile away, on Hampton Point Drive, another woman told police that a tan dog tried to attack her on March 8.
Police are working to locate the dog and identify the dog's owner.

Animal Services Officers are asking anyone who sees the dog to call the police's non-emergency number at 301-279-8000. Do not approach the dog. Officials added that anyone with information about this investigation is urged to call the Animal Services Division at 240-773-5925.
