EYA Foundation Sponsors Day of Service at A Wider Circle

The foundation for Bethesda-based community developer and home builder EYA recently sponsored its annual Day of Service at A Wider Circle in Silver Spring. The EYA Foundation also provided a $10,000 grant to support the organization’s work in the community.

More than 50 EYA volunteers sorted donated items, made repairs to furniture, restocked the showroom floor, assembled shelving and loaded items into recipients’ vehicles.

Since its founding in 2001, A Wider Circle has touched the lives of more than 160,000 low-income children and adults living in varying degrees of poverty. The organization provides educational programs and urgently-needed beds, dressers, cribs, and other furniture to families.
