Pedestrian's Name Released in Fatal Silver Spring Accident (Update)
BREAKING: A Silver Spring man died after he was hit by a car driven by a Hyattsville man Monday, according to Montgomery County Police.

UPDATED at 1:30 p.m. SILVER SPRING, MD — Authorities have released the name of a Silver Spring man who died Monday morning from injuries suffered when he was hit by a car on a Silver Spring street.
Montgomery County Police say pedestrian Robert Michael Grossman, 64, of Holdridge Road in Silver Spring, was not in a marked crosswalk when he was struck by a car. Grossman was hit just before 7 a.m. while walking across northbound Georgia Avenue at Regina Drive.
Police say a 2015 Toyota Camry driven by Oyebusola O. Oworu, 36, of Cooper Lane in Hyattsville, was northbound on Georgia Avenue when his car hit Grossman. He was taken to an area hospital, where he died from his injuries.

Oworu was not injured in the collision, police say.

Video by WJLA showed a white van and a school bus also parked at the scene, and roped off with police tape.
The school bus had no students on it at the time of the crash. Oworu remained at the scene, says NBC Washington.
