Suspect Charged In Fatal Shooting Of Baltimore Man In Silver Spring Garage

SILVER SPRING, MD — Montgomery County Police arrested a suspect in connection with the fatal shooting of 21-year-old Kymani Elijah Bailey of Baltimore early Saturday morning in a Silver Spring parking garage.

Officers responded around 2:40 a.m. for the report of a shooting at Public Parking Garage 3 in the 900 block of Silver Spring Avenue.

Bailey was found on the first level of the garage, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene, according to police.

After reviewing surveillance footage from the garage, homicide detectives obtained images of a man they identified as 30-year-old Ramone Christopher Ramsay. Police say that he was kicked out of a nearby nightclub before the shooting.

Detectives have not been able to determine why Ramsey allegedly shot Bailey as he was walking with a group of people in the garage. Investigators have also not identified a link between the two men, according to police.

On Sunday, detectives obtained an arrest warrant charging Ramsey with first-degree murder and other related charges, according to police. They arrested Ramsey on Wednesday and transported him to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, where he was served with the warrant.
